Description

This project constitutes a peek to a local design and manufacturing process in the footsteps of the 4th industrial revolution, that examines the close connection between the designer, manufacturing, products and the end-user with a series of garments and sneakers locally produced. This series of garments and sneakers manufacture new technological methods that relate to the future of mass production potential in customizing manufacturing, 3D printing, printing on textiles and finding an alternative to traditional sewing, etc. www.thecloudwear.com

What did you create?

Research deliverable is a series of garments and sneakers manufacture in new technological methods that relate to the future of mass production potential in customizing manufacturing, 3D printing, printing on textiles and finding an alternative to traditional sewing, etc.

Why did you make it?

The objective of the study is to examine what is the place of the designer in this constantly changing relationship. The nature of the product is changing and technology often dictates product design and functionality. The designer is the connecting link between all the players, so his toolbox is changing and expanding.

How did you make it?

The production process consists of 3D research in printing limits and opportunities, developing new technics in textile 3D printing. Experimenting with material research trying to find alternatives for traditional sewing.
